Château Cantelys 2016 Pessac-Léognan Bordeaux France
95 Points Decanter

Owned by Florence and Daniel Cathiard of the renowned Château Smith Haut Lafitte, the 2016 Château Cantelys showcases the elegance and precision of Pessac-Léognan at an exceptional value. Crafted from a blend of approximately 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot, this beautifully structured Bordeaux offers expressive aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, cherry, cedar, tobacco, and baking spice. Fermented with whole berries in oak vats and aged 14 months in French oak (25% new), the palate is rich yet refined, featuring polished tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, mineral-driven finish with notes of licorice and subtle oak. A classic Left Bank Bordeaux from one of the region's outstanding vintages.
