Silver Oak 2017 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Silver Oak 2017 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon – Napa Valley, California
The Silver Oak 2017 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is an exceptional, beautifully structured Cabernet Sauvignon from one of Napa Valley's most iconic wineries. Crafted from carefully selected vineyard sites throughout Napa Valley, this elegant wine showcases Silver Oak's signature richness, plush texture and distinctive American oak aging.
The 2017 vintage opens with captivating aromas of blackberry, blueberry, roasted coffee beans, coriander and nutmeg, complemented by subtle notes of bay leaf, vanilla and toasted coconut. The palate is rich and beautifully layered, delivering concentrated dark fruit, savory spice and refined oak complexity. Smooth upon entry, the wine develops a broad, plush mid-palate with elegant density, polished tannins and a long, generous finish.
Crafted from a blend of 80.8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14.6% Merlot, 2.9% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc and 0.7% Malbec, the wine was aged for 24 months exclusively in American oak barrels, 84% new, from Silver Oak's own cooperage, The Oak. Despite the challenges of the 2017 growing season, careful vineyard management produced a beautifully balanced Cabernet with bright acidity, impressive concentration and excellent aging potential.
