The 2013 Altesino Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG is an exceptional 100% Sangiovese from one of Montalcino’s historic producers. Produced only in outstanding vintages and released in limited quantities, this Riserva combines the elegance and aromatic complexity of classic Brunello with impressive depth, structure and longevity.
Expressive layers of cherry, strawberry, cassis and rose hip mingle with notes of juniper, rosemary, thyme, spice, leather and licorice. The palate is rich yet beautifully balanced, with fine tannins, vibrant freshness and excellent concentration leading to a long, complex finish.
Awarded 97 points by Wine Spectator, 94 points by Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate and 93 points by James Suckling, the 2013 Riserva was also named #2 on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of 2019, making it a highly collectible mature Brunello with exceptional pedigree.
