CHEV 2019 Russian River Valley Chardonnay Sonoma County California

93 Points Jeb Dunnuck • 93 Points Wine Spectator

The CHEV 2019 Russian River Valley Chardonnay is a beautifully expressive, limited-production Chardonnay from acclaimed winemaker Michael Browne, co-founder of Kosta Browne and creator of CIRQ. Crafted in Sonoma County's celebrated Russian River Valley, this elegant white wine combines rich fruit, vibrant acidity and distinctive mineral complexity.

The 2019 vintage opens with luscious aromas of Bartlett pear, apricot tart, orange blossom and crushed slate. The palate delivers layers of fresh papaya, spiced apricot, crème caramel, nutmeg and bright citrus, complemented by a luxurious, creamy texture and refreshing acidity. Pure minerality and a long, resonant finish bring remarkable balance to this sophisticated Chardonnay.

Fermented in a combination of French oak barrels, concrete egg and concrete amphora, the wine undergoes extended maturation in oak and concrete, creating an exceptional balance of richness, freshness and texture. A compelling Russian River Valley Chardonnay that showcases Michael Browne's distinctive winemaking style.
