Rhys Vineyards 2013 Bearwallow Vineyard Pinot Noir Anderson Valley California

93 Points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate • 93 Points Vinous

The Rhys Vineyards 2013 Bearwallow Vineyard Pinot Noir is an elegant, beautifully expressive Pinot Noir from the renowned Anderson Valley in Mendocino County, California. Produced from the spectacular Bearwallow Vineyard in the cool-climate “Deep End” of Anderson Valley, this exceptional wine showcases the purity, complexity and refined structure that have made Rhys Vineyards one of California's most respected Pinot Noir producers.

The 2013 vintage offers captivating aromas of ripe strawberry, blueberry, crushed violets and delicate floral notes. The palate is rich and layered, delivering vibrant red and blue fruit, subtle earthy minerality and Bearwallow's signature savory spice. Supple tannins, excellent concentration and a generous, lingering finish create a beautifully balanced and sophisticated Pinot Noir.

Acquired by Rhys Vineyards in 2008, Bearwallow Vineyard features dramatic hillside plantings surrounded by towering redwoods. The 2013 vintage incorporates new plantings of low-vigor, heritage Pinot Noir selections, adding complexity and depth to this distinctive Anderson Valley wine.
