The 2015 Altesino Montosoli Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is a highly acclaimed single-vineyard 100% Sangiovese from Montosoli, one of Montalcino’s most celebrated vineyard sites. Produced from Altesino’s historic five-hectare Montosoli vineyard, this collectible Brunello combines remarkable mineral intensity, elegance and long-term aging potential.
Complex and beautifully structured, the 2015 reveals layers of blackberry, cherry, raspberry and wild forest berries accented by hibiscus, rosemary, dried orange, tobacco, licorice, spice and crushed stone. The palate is concentrated yet refined, with vibrant acidity, fine-grained tannins and pronounced minerality carrying through a long, elegant finish.
Awarded 97 points by James Suckling, 96+ points by Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, and 96 points each from Vinous and Wine Enthusiast, the 2015 Montosoli is an exceptional, age-worthy Brunello and a compelling expression of this historic Montalcino cru.
