Château Bélair-Monange 2013 Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Bordeaux France
94 Points Wine Enthusiast – Cellar Selection | 93 Points Wine Spectator | 92 Points Decanter | 92 Points James Suckling
The 2013 Château Bélair-Monange Saint-Émilion Grand Cru is an elegant, Merlot-driven Right Bank Bordeaux from one of Saint-Émilion’s historic estates. Owned by the Moueix family, Bélair-Monange combines exceptional limestone and clay terroirs on the plateau and slopes of Saint-Émilion, producing wines distinguished by freshness, minerality and refinement.
Expressive layers of raspberry, redcurrant, damson plum and cherry mingle with notes of blood orange, flowers, tea, smoke and chalky minerality. Medium-bodied and beautifully focused, the palate combines bright acidity with fine tannins and concentrated fruit, leading to a fresh, mineral-driven finish.
Awarded 94 points and a Cellar Selection designation by Wine Enthusiast, along with 93 points from Wine Spectator and 92 points each from Decanter and James Suckling, the 2013 Bélair-Monange is an impressive achievement from a challenging Bordeaux vintage.
